Why?

Lots people may think its stupid, crazy and too risk for me to go. I understand completely, but let me explain why I want to do this. Some people don't understand the thrill feeling of this. I love the nature and the environment, I just never can get enough of it. I would rather just sit there and stare at gorgeous scenery than eat my favorite food.
Hitchhiking, you get the chance to see the close up details of it.

The media tell you all the scary stories about hitchhikers, enough to keep you off the roads. But there are plenty of blogs by women who did all the hitchhiking around the world. You would be surprised by how many does that, despite the media warnings.

Remember, the driver picking up the hitchhiker is also taking a chance. He/she does not want to get in bad situation too.

Here the post I found from some chick.
I am not so pessimistic about hitchhiking in Canada though, because I do get a lot of good lifts, and other people tell me that they like picking up hitchhikers, that for example they themselves used to also hitchhike.
In the 50s and 60s it was much more common to hitchhike. But these days, in different ways, people are taught to be afraid. The media image and the government give us hitchhikers and the concept of sharing a bad image. Also in general terms, people are taught to be afraid of others.
That's a big shame.

Now shut up, and let me enjoy my adventure life :):)
